ANZAC Day in Victoria

ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance commemorating the anniversary of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) landing at Gallipoli, Turkey, on April 25, 1915. It is a day of reflection and respect for the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

In Victoria, ANZAC Day is a restricted trading day. This means that most businesses are required to close on this day. However, there are some exceptions, such as businesses that provide essential services, such as hospitals and pharmacies.

There will be a number of ANZAC Day ceremonies held across Victoria on April 25. The largest ceremony will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. This ceremony will commence at 10:30 am and will include a march-past by veterans and current members of the Australian Defence Force, as well as speeches and a wreath-laying ceremony.

Other ANZAC Day ceremonies will be held in towns and cities across Victoria. These ceremonies will typically include a march-past, a service, and a wreath-laying ceremony.

ANZAC Day is a day to remember the brave men and women who have served our country. It is also a day to reflect on the importance of peace and to work towards a world free from war.
