Maximilian Krah was born in 1977 as the youngest of three children to an engineer father and a special education teacher mother in the Upper Lusatia region of Germany. Professional Career

Krah is a practicing Catholic, widowed, and has eight children from three different relationships. He joined the Junge Union, the youth wing of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), in 1991.
